Spoiled.

Yes, I was....spoiled rotten by the Austin's and their unbelievable comfort in front of my lens. I just couldn't help but post a few more. And the last image is my fave of the day; makes me smile!
Did I mention I love my job?!

Magic.

A very small sneak for a wonderful couple I had the opportunity to shoot while away...you were such a sweet couple with wonderully creative ideas; it was a treat for me! These were taken the day after the "big day" at Hatley castle.

Lisa & Jason, thank you so much for being fabulous to work with and congratulations on getting hitched!!!

Another Delicious Newborn

Just check out this little doll! She is the daughter of a good friend of Brooke & Mark's, which Brooke SO KINDLY invited me to come over and get some shots. I'll take whatever newborn practice I can get before ours arrives so I'm able get some amazing shots for my own walls! Little Miss "A" was just over 2 weeks here and FINALLY fell asleep at the end of the session...thank goodness, because she was a squirmer!

Thanks again to Baby A's family for allowing me to be a part of her "first" photo session:)

Model Family

This truly was my favourite family to date.....I always get a little anxiety when shooting a family of five ( or ANY family, for that matter)! but the evening we shot this worked out like a dream:) I know most of the images are of the "little sis", but come on, do you blame me.....check out those BOOTS!! I will blog some more photos in the next coming days...
We did the shoot at Royal Roads University in Victoria, BC which is literally like being in another world.....a beautiful setting for a beautiful family.

Thank you so much to all of you for being such a treat!

Proud Mama

This post is for "Nanny", since we promised her some photos from my cousin Kari-Lee's big day on the Island....yes, they are just of my Little Miss, but I promise the ones of the real star of the day will be up in the next few sleeps.....sorry Kar, I just couldn't help myself:)
We weren't quite sure how things were going to turn out, as Daddy and Nanny were in charge of getting N ready since I was "on the job". As it turned out, she threw a royal fit not wanting to get into the dress and then refused to walk down the aisle....which is what you can see from the 1st pic where she's holding Nanny's hand. Well, it's a good thing that she's a girly-girl and still believes everything we tell her, because once we said she could throw flowers, twirl AND get pictures with a "real Cinderella-princess" she was off and running. Twirling, dancing and performing away during the entire ceremony.... which is exactly why she is still my number one model....tantrums and all!

About time....

So, it has been almost a month since I've had my computer, and it's BACK, BABY!!!! Man, oh man...after having "photoshop withdrawls" since the breakdown I sure do appreciate ALL aspects of what goes into my job. I don't have all the tools back that I normally work with, so the images aren't yet perfect in my eyes, but soon enough! Thank you so very much to all of my clients that have been patiently waiting.....I'm now NINE jobs backed up, but am working on them as we speak. My plan is to start back at number one and give a sneak peak to each client over the next 9 days. After that I'll be working on completing each job in full.

Job number one is the AMAZING Mr and Mrs Austin, my first out-of-town clients that found me through the web. We had such a great time working together, and I really do hope to meet with them again:) Thank you also to Brooke, my "ex" partner, who came along to get some fantastic shots, and save my butt from falling into the lake........it was quite the spectacle shooting this session as Brooke and I were literally WAIST deep in the lake, ladders and all! Any brides thinking of doing this type of "trash the dress" session; you won't be dissapointed!

Ryan and Sherelle, you truly were incredible models.....Happy Anniversary!

An Update....

For those who may have wondered where I've disappeared to the past few weeks....well, I haven't gone anywhere, but my computer has! Pretty much everything crashed (thank goodness my pics were spared)! even my Photoshop is out the window:( For anyone that DOESN"T understand the importance of that, it basically means that my "Mish-time" is gone for now. Which also means a not-so-nice wifey, I'm sure!
Needless to say, my wonderful friend Brooke (well, her wonderful man, that is)! has offered to re program it for me while I'm on the Island shooting a few weddings. I will have an unbelievable amount of work to catch up on, and HEAPS of images to blog about!

Don't forget about me, and for all my clients reading this....thank you so, SO much for your patience and understanding; I'll make sure to throw in a "little sumpin' sumpin" to make the wait worthwhile!

See you in a few weeks,

Mish
