Photoshop Tidbits....

This is for any of you who may be interested in a few of the processes I use when editing; for the rest of you.....I won't be

offended if you skip over this post, as it will most likely sound like a bunch of jibberish!

I've chosen 2 different images from my lil session with Nevaeh today and 4 different editing processes. Each of these is using

action packs fromTotally Rad Actions 1 and 2 and Kevin Kubota's Actions which includes the amazing Magic Sharp tool.

And since I can't seem to figure out how to write directly under each image, you're getting all the info right here!

Image #1- Original out of camera.....Canon 30D/ 50mm 1.4 lens. ISO 160, 1/160, f 2.2

Image #2 (Basic Colour) - Patch tool for undereye circles 40% opacity - yin/yang to define shadows &

highlights...especially since I tend to overexpose the images on Nevaeh's fair skin - And last but not least I ran Kubota's Magic

sharp.

Image #3 (Black & White) - Patch tool for undereye 40% - yin/yang to define shadows & highlights - Boring Old

B&W - sepia filter at 25% - Kubota's Magic Sharp

Image #4 ( Vintage ) - Patch for undereye 40% - yin/yang - Lux Soft 70% opacity (this action is from the 2nd set of

Totally Rad Actions) Flare up Winter 30% - Grainstorm 40% ( I lowered the opacity on her face) Boutwell Magic Glasses 45% -

Kubota's Magic Sharp

Image #5 -" The Nose Digger" - Out of camera.....Canon 30D/50mm 1.4 lens. ISO 160, 1/250, f 2.5; this was definately

underexposed!

Image #6- "The Nose Digger"....not that this photo is the best candidate for this action, but it is one of my most used actions,

and I HAD to get this pic of the Missy on here...she insisted!! - Patch tool for undereye - adjust curves - yin/yang to define

shadows & highlights - Old Skool Fast at 50% opacity ( I go into history when using this action & remove the "add noise"

portion) Antique tone 25% - Kubota's Magic Sharp

Hopefully at least a few of you found this to be a little helpful....I know I LOVE coming across little recipes on other photogs

blogs, so I thought I'd pay it forward.

Thanks again for ALL of your support, and don't forget to keep the blog-love coming; I love to know you were here:)

PS - If any of you happen to know of any chants, spells or voodoo tricks that can help get this baby OUT OF ME...please feel

free to use them!!!!!!

Time for a Change....

After much too long in the tub, 2 rosy cheeks and 10 wrinkled toes....Nevaeh and I decided it was time to try out a new 'do.

So, we styled up her locks into some french braids....and surprisingly enough; they stayed in! She was so proud of her "big girl"

hair that she happily agreed to work her stuff in front of my lens.....didn't even charge me "monies" for her time:)

So here it is, new hair.....a little gloss, and one little Miss who is growing up MUCH too quickly:)

Giddy.....

That's what I am.

Sitting here, right now.....at 1:47 a.m. ( I really should start getting to bed earlier)! I am anxiously awaiting Brooke to post the

pics she took of Miss Nevaeh today. We didn't get a tonne of shots, but the ones we did get.....YUM-MY! Hopefully this will

get her blogging sooner......rather than later. Sorry B, I edited just a couple teasers to get your butt in gear:) Thank you so,

SO much...I LOVE them all!

Stay tuned to her blog as well as mine in the coming days to

check out the rest!

Big B, little B

Today the Miss and I spent the day with Brooke and " Little Miss-Miss". B wanted me to take a few Mummy/daughter shots

before the babe gets too big, so of course I convinced her to let us take a turn in front of her (fancy NEW) camera as well! It

turned into a full-blown session.....makeup, wardrobe changes and almost 3 hours of shooting (including feedings, diapers,

and "monies"; Nevaeh only models for cash lately)! I am posting the ones of B and Isla, and if you check out

Brooke's blog you'll get to see the shots she took of us.....I ADORE the

ones of Nevaeh; my absolute faves so far! It was a long day, but with 2 very sweet AND photogenic models on our hands it

was well worth it:)

Don't forget to leave some blog love!!!!

Smiling.

I am right now.

Looking at these photos, how lucky do I feel?

VERY.

Little Miss has been sick the past few days....lethargic and snuggly and even a little pukey (at least it was on Papa, not me)! She

perked up this afternoon though; donned her Rainbow Brite outfit and decided to work it for the camera.....of course she had

to throw in some "true" 3 year old poses...nose picking and all. And since there's another soon-to-be arriving model on the

way I thought I should have one last session with my fave BIG girl model.

She really is such a doll....wouldn't trade her for the world!

And don't forget to leave me some blog-love to let me know you've dropped by!

The countdown is ON!!!!

First and foremost I would like to thank Brooke for taking the

time away from her crazy-hectic life to get some shots of my belly; I couldn't be happier with them ( but am still anxious to

see the rest...LOL)! Although it was freezing outside, we were in a city we'd never shot in before AND the types of locations

were new territory to both of us, together we came up with some fun images:) And the fact that B's talent behind the camera,

as well as her Photoshop skills made me actually enjoy looking at my much-bigger-bod....made it well worth freezing my

booty off!

Now that the photos are out of the way I just need to get this baby HERE; I'm ALMOST 37 weeks here, so it could be soon.....we

are VERY excited ( and impatient) to have a "fresh" new model on our hands!
